The short answer

This HVAC financing calculator shows the monthly payment, total paid and total interest for a financing offer. Type the amount financed, the APR and the term exactly as printed on your offer, plus any dealer fee. Nothing is pre-filled, because the only numbers that matter are the ones on your paperwork.

What this assumed

—

Fixed-rate maths only. Not a loan offer or advice. HyreHVAC does not lend or arrange finance.

How is the payment worked out?

The calculator uses the standard fixed-rate loan formula: payment = P × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n), where P is the balance, r is the APR divided by 12, and n is the number of months. At 0% APR the payment is simply the balance divided by the months.

If the offer has a dealer or lender fee charged as a percentage, the tool adds it to the balance. Ask the contractor in writing whether the cash price and the financed price are the same.

Read these terms before you sign

  • "No interest if paid in full"

The CFPB warns that the word "if" marks a deferred-interest offer. If the balance is not cleared in time, interest back to the purchase date can be added.

  • Is the cash price lower?

A fee built into a 0% offer may show up as a higher price.

  • Prepayment penalty

Can you pay it off early with no charge?

  • Secured or unsecured

Some loans put a lien on the home.

Compare against other options

Run the same amount through the tool for each offer: contractor financing, a credit union loan, a utility on-bill program. The total paid is the fairest single comparison. Our financing vs personal loan page covers the trade-offs, and HVAC financing lists program types.

Questions this calculator answers

Is 0% HVAC financing really free?
Sometimes. Check for a dealer fee in the price and for deferred-interest terms.
What is deferred interest?
Interest that is waived only if you pay the full balance by a deadline. Miss it and interest can be charged back to day one.
Should I finance a new HVAC system?
Compare the total paid with your other options, and do not stretch the term past the system’s likely life.
Why does the calculator start blank?
We do not publish HVAC prices or rates. Your offer is the only accurate input.
